I really respect businesses that are well run. It does not matter what kind of business it is. If it is well run and produces consistent results, I always want to know more. Could be a gallery, an auction house, a cabinet company, a doctor’s office, or in the case of my most recent find – a restaurant.
Restaurants are tough businesses. I’ve never worked in one or had anything to do with the management of a restaurant, but the conventional wisdom is that they are difficult businesses to manage and to turn a profit. There is a great little restaurant near me – Ron’s Original Bar and Grille. The food is great – the service excellent – and most impressive of all, extremely consistent on all levels. We eat out a lot. Schedules are such that when I can get out for lunch or dinner, I head to Ron’s. You can have great food, freshly prepared, and you can count on the same level of service and quality. I’m impressed each time I go….not just because its a nice place to eat….but because the ownership clearly understands how to hire, train and manage people for sustained quality and customer satisfaction. If you want to see what I’m talking about, give it a try. It’s not just a great little restaurant, it’s a great business. www.ronsoriginal.com 610-594-9900
